Sinolight Materials Corporation is one of the subsidiaries of China National Light Industry (Group). The corporation was created with investment from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).  In August 2007 to establish a unified trade platform, the Group integrated the subsidiary bodies of the major trading business into one, named Sinolight Materials Corporation, which would operate together with China Light Industrial Materials Co Ltd. The registered capital of the new company was RMB 400 millions, and the main business income amounted to RMB 4.9 billions in 2011

As its core business, Sinolight Materials Corporation supplies and manufactures specific material to the light industry. It comprises nine subsidiary companies and one branch office. These are named: China Light Industrial Materials Co Ltd, Sinolight Materials Xian Co Ltd, Sinolight Materials Guangzhou Co Ltd, Sinolight Materials Wuhan Co Ltd, Sinolight Materials Shenyang Co Ltd, Sinolight Materials Chongqing Coporation, Sinolight Materials Dalian Co Ltd, Sinolight Materials Tianjin Co Ltd, Beijing Quanxin Property Management Co Ltd and Sinolight Materials Corporation Lianyungang Branch. In addition it has a share-controlled company, Sinolight Chemical Co, which is located in Hangzhou and has three offices located in Shaoxing, Jiangmen and Zhongshan.

China Light Industrial Materials Co Ltd is a joint-stock enterprise, which was authorized by State Economic and Trade Commission and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. It was registered in the Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce on 11 May 1999. Its total share capital has reached 150 millions and has been confirmed as a “non-local large enterprise” by Shanghai Municipal Government. Tax-credit has been classified as “A” by Shanghai Taxation Bureau and authority for importing and exporting has been certified by Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. It owns four subsidiaries in Tianjin, Qingdao, Zhanjiang and Hong Kong.

Some of them have been accredited with the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System, these include Sinolight Materials Corporation, China Light Industrial Materials Co Ltd, Sinolight Chemical Co Ltd and Beijing Quanxin Property Management Co Ltd. Sinolight Chemical Co Ltd has achieved internationally accepted, ISO14001 Environment Management System certification
